Services and Fees

I have come to the conclusion that human beings are born with an innate capacity to triumph over trauma. I believe not only that trauma is curable, but that the healing process can be a catalyst for profound awakening-a portal opening to emotional and genuine spiritual transformation.

The Right Therapist

As a therapist I seek to be empathetic, accepting, trustworthy, hopeful and flexible. However, when looking for the right therapist there are other factors to take into account as well.

Ethics: Ethical practice is imperative. I will always work professionally and prioritize your best interests as the client. I hold membership with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and seek to always abide by their code of ethics.

Right fit: Do you feel comfortable with your therapist and unpacking the issue you are looking for support with? If not, lets talk through this together. I am committed to supporting you, whether that includes working with Prosper Counselling and Psychotherapy or referring you on to another therapist who is more suited to you.

Commitment and cost: Research has found therapy is most effective when clients attend weekly sessions. I know it might be scary to commit to this level of time and money, but I have seen over and over it is worth the investment! I believe it is important to talk through what we are both comfortable with from the outset as well as outlining the cancellation policy. This will occur in the first session.
